Greetings my friends, depending on where you live, we have almost made it to the beginning of the spring melt, and the bloom of all the flowers, the budding of the branches on the trees, the sprouting of mushrooms, and of course the end of hibernation for so many of the beautiful creatures across these lands.

I would like to start by saying that our 2026-27 budget has been passed. My predecessor, Keaton Thomas-Sinclair, and his predecessor Nasser Chalifoux, were both focused on bringing our party to run candidates in elections. These were certainly noble goals, however these pursuits nearly bankrupted our party. Under my interim leadership, I have steered our party through litigation and brought us back to a balanced budget at great personal and business expense, reorganizing our party in a way that ensures we will be able to continue to maintain to pay for essentials including contracts, transportation, website and security, requests from party members and other Indigenous leaders, access to information requests, among other essential expenses. Furthermore, we do not have an in-house lawyer or accountant so these fees are quite substantial. Nevertheless, I can assure you that we can continue running the party for this 2026-27 fiscal year. I am not worried about the 2027-28 either. We appreciate every donation, the smallest of donations can make a big difference for a party like ours in these hard times. Our primary issue is that we simply have not been receiving many large donations, which I hope to change very soon with some of our upcoming strategies to find potential donors. We have never accepted any government funds. We will also be updating the donation page shortly to allow for Interac® e-Transfers.

The Libertarian Party of Canada has been deregistered by Elections Canada. If a party this large was deregistered, Elections Canada needs to reduce the requirements to allow smaller parties to contest elections. The registration and auditing requirements are excessively costly and strict, and provides yet another barrier to entry and more importantly long-term stability to emerging parties, and encourages “buyout” coalitions between smaller parties, which are often harmful and predatory. The Party for National Reconciliation has resolved to call on Parliament for a referendum regarding proportional representation. We will provide updates on these matters as they emerge. This is the primary reason why our party will act as a pressure and advisory group and endorse candidates and policies for the most part at this time, as we build the political strength we need to become legitimate long-term contenders in federal elections.

We are also working to improve our social media presence in the coming weeks. Furthermore, we removed our requirement to provide a photograph to become a party member. We wouldn’t want any souls captured now! I am pleased to report 756 total verified members in Canada who registered online, another 1,233 total verified members who registered by paper, and another 51 members outside of Canada. This brings us to 1,989 verified party members within Canada, and 2,040 party members in total… and counting! Thanks to the election of Avi Lewis as leader of the federal NDP, we have been bombarded with requests and hacking attempts. Rest assured we have proprietary, state-of-the-art systems which are constantly monitored, including by myself. We are also working on correcting the discrepancies in our party’s constitutions to create a cohesive one, as well as approve an appropriate privacy policy. We expect this to be done by the end of May 2026.

The Party for National Reconciliation is pleased to note that a federal district judge has granted a preliminary injunction that will allow clergy, religious, and Catholic social justice advocates to enter an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility west of Chicago on Ash Wednesday to provide ashes and Holy Communion. United States District Judge Robert W. Gettleman for the Northern District of Illinois Eastern Division found that:

The government has substantially burdened the plaintiffs’ exercise of religion.

This is in line with one of the International Relations objectives ratified by the 2025 Congress of the Party for National Reconciliation concerning the excessive use of force and intimidation by United States federal government agencies regarding deportation operations of immigrants, stating in part:

The Catholic community need not live in fear of going to Mass in person because parishioners were being detained and questioned by I.C.E.

The Party for National Reconciliation expresses its disappointment regarding the failure of the Coalition Avenir Québec to formally consult with First Nations leaders regarding Bill 1 on the Constitution of Québec. Furthermore, the Party condemns the decision by Coalition Avenir Québec MNA André Bachand to prohibit Chief Sipi Flamand of Manawan Atikamekw Council to enter the National Assembly of Québec with his ceremonial Eagle Staff while attempting to attend a meeting involving Quebec Justice Minister and Coalition Avenir Québec MNA Simon Jolin-Barrette regarding Bill 1. The Party for National Reconciliation commends Parti Québécois leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon MNA and Pascal Paradis MNA for having met AFNQL Chief Verreault-Paul in Wendake prior to this meeting, pleading for constant and genuine dialogue, nation-to-nation. During the meeting, Chief Verreault-Paul added the following remarks to Jolin-Barrette:

There are 41 First Nations plus one Inuit people in Quebec, and we are allowed 30 minutes today. Is that your definition of full and complete participation by First Nations in the constitutional process, minister?

You talk about a single people, you talk about territorial integrity. This is a continuation of what we saw a few years ago when Quebec, through you, challenged us all the way to the Supreme Court to take care of our children. We are in that same situation today.

As the 30-minute meeting closed, Parti Québécois MNA Pascal Paradis asked Chief Verreault-Paul whether he felt First Nations leaders had been treated on a nation-to-nation basis, and whether the constitution bill was salvageable.

To answer the first question very clearly, from government to government, no, that did not happen. And for the second question, the answer is also no. So, it is not salvageable.

Chief Verreault-Paul added:

We had eight minutes to speak which gives us 15 seconds per First Nation.

The Party for National Reconciliation would also like to recognize Québec Solidaire MNAs Haroun Bouazzi and Sol Zanetti for defending Chief Flamand and his inherent right to carry a sacred staff.

The Party for National Reconciliation is incredibly pleased to see a visit today between AFNQL Chief Francis Verreault-Paul and Parti Québécois leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon MNA, along with Pascal Paradis MNA, to speak before Chief Verreault-Paul appears before the parliamentary committee on Bill 1 on the Constitution of Québec. Plamondon remarked:

We had a very useful and promising discussion about the future, particularly regarding the Bill, and agreed on the importance of maintaining a constant dialogue, nation to nation, with First Nations leaders in Quebec.

The Constitution of Québec must take precedence over any inconsistent rule of law, including federal law. It is a crucial step in securing the fundamental right of self-determination, which our organization supports for all Nations and Peoples. Québec is a bona fide Nation and the Party for National Reconciliation will continue to implore leaders in Québec to continue to create opportunities to create dialogue, explore opportunities for mutual growth and development, increase inclusion of Indigenous leaders and peoples, and strive to see a Québec we can truly say the most Indigenous-friendly Nation in the Americas.

The Party for National Reconciliation wholeheartedly welcomes the decision from the Government of Québec to remove the British crown from the official coat of arms. Organizations with names such as the Crown Society of Canada complain loudly, but the reality is Orangism and Loyalism make for very poor political posturing in present-day discourse, their main benefits are becoming increasingly hidden vassals of the Executive on Parliament Hill (and in the armed forces to some extent). The removal of the British crown is one more positive step towards a post-colonial Québec. How much longer until we may be liberated at last from these centuries of both direct and indirect British domination at the expense of our freedom, our languages and our cultures?

The Party for National Reconciliation is very pleased with the announcement from RCMP National Headquarters regarding the launch of the National High Risk Child Sex Offender Database. We hope this step toward greater transparency in policing will help improve the RCMP’s public credibility, and hopefully make communities safer by mitigating and identifying some of the most serious threats to community safety – repeat offenders of brutal crimes that pose a high risk of harm.

Happy New Year! I won’t be able to excuse the holiday party any longer. Now, it’s back to business. We have been undergoing proceedings for quite some time now as a result of errors made by the last leadership, but rest assured we will prevail with our righteous mission. There are many plans in the works to continue to help influence positive change and dialogue, even if it is only to tip the scales just enough for the common good. I am continuing to work tirelessly with my partners in political parties and movements across the country to ensure the timely implementation of our goals. Failing that, they understand well the implications of ignoring our growing existence as a political movement. Any politician unwilling to make concessions ought not to be one.

As some of you are doubtless aware, this organization has had the incredible good fortune to have been involved in a multitude of positive developments towards peace, justice, and reconciliation over the last few weeks, and I hope that our consultations will continue to prove productive towards our common goals. I am finally at the liberty to issue this statement, please appreciate that these can be incredibly sensitive situations as developments unfold. We shattered our 250 member requirement! Here’s just one indicator of how much of a hit we’ve been lately – after over 30,000 new requests to reclaim a traditional Indigenous name (causing a 24 week delay!) the government of Ontario has reversed its decision on charging fees at the end of the year and it will now be free of charge indefinitely! Thanks to our special partnership with Premier Ford, you can now both reclaim your name and get your Membership Card at no cost to you! Remember, we have never accepted any government money, so please feel free to Donate if you are able. This only the beginning of something great!

The parties are ramping up and we have to hit our required 250 party members should parliament be dissolved. (Have you noticed all those text surveys lately, asking your postal code and who you would vote for in the upcoming federal elections?) The major parties are seriously worried! Our party has overcome 40 years of history in various iterations. We have never accepted any government money, so therefore our operations can only continue to run solely on the generosity of fellow supporters of our principles. There are many big things coming!
